M.S SRL is committed to making its website accessible in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 – Level AA and in compliance with the European Accessibility Act (EAA), effective from June 28, 2025.Scope of Application
This statement applies to the website: https://www.hotelmaxims.it/.
Technical Measures for Accessibility
During the website design and development process, the following technical measures were adopted to ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA criteria:
- Correct semantic structure of HTML code;
- Consistent heading structure: h1 - h2 – h3 – h4…;
- Keyboard-accessible navigation for menus and content on all pages;
- Visible and consistent focus on interactive elements;
- Implementation of focus traps on modals, popups, layers, and dialogs to keep focus within the active element and prevent background distractions;
- Meaningful `alt` attributes for all informative images;
- Minimum color contrast of 4.5:1 between text and background;
- Forms and buttons with clear labels, readable by screen readers;
- Use of ARIA roles only where necessary and in a compliant manner;
- Responsive layout readable on all devices;
- Text is resizable up to 200% using browser-native features without loss of readability, access, or functionality;
- Links with meaningful contextual descriptions (e.g., “Discover the bungalows”). For generic visible text (e.g., “Read more”, “View”), appropriate aria-label or aria-labelledby attributes have been used for links and buttons to provide full and meaningful descriptions for screen readers;
- Compatibility with screen readers (tested with NVDA, VoiceOver);
- Accessible management of carousels and galleries;
- Presence of a Skip to content link visible on keyboard focus at the top of the page. This link allows users navigating by keyboard or screen reader to jump directly to the main content, avoiding repetitive headers, menus, or blocks. Activated with the first tab key. Behavior tested for compatibility with major browsers and screen readers;
- Use of clear and readable language;
- Visual order and prevention of “walls of text.”
Compliance Status
This website is partially compliant with the requirements of Appendix A of the UNI CEI EN 301549 standard due to the non-compliance cases listed below.
Non-Accessible Content
Despite our efforts to ensure website accessibility, the following content is not accessible:
- There is a background video without audio on the homepage, used decoratively to visually introduce the campsite. The video does not contain essential information for content comprehension and does not interfere with website navigation or readability. Being non-informative content, no transcripts or subtitles are provided. However, playback cannot be paused. Future site versions may include a pause control.
Statement Drafting
This statement was drafted on 26/01/2026.
The evaluation was carried out through internal self-assessment based on:
- Technical analysis using automated tools (Lighthouse, PageSpeed Insights, Silktide, WAVE).
- Manual tests and keyboard navigation tests.
